    Highland Park Dragon Legend

An altogether smokier-than-normal addition to the Highland Park range, Dragon Legend shows off their peaty elements cleanly and clearly, alongside sweeter hints from the sherry-cask-matured portion of the expression.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Cut grass, roasted vanilla pod and a hint of mulled wine.

    Palate

A robust core of heather-y, earthy smoke arrive straight away, with peppercorn, mince pie and oily malt in tow.

    Finish

Notes of dried citrus and toasted barley linger, but the finish doesn't drag on too long (get it?).

    Disappointing

I was very excited by the description but I'm really sorry to say it doesn't live up to it. Kudos to the marketing team but the whisky doesn't hold up. Don't know if it's too young or what but tastes cheap.

    Excellent

This is a smooth drink with a smokey taste which makes this malt unique.

Would not buy again this has no deep flavours

Compared to the 12 year old given the price difference no chance , lot better bottles of whiskey out there even cheaper, ( black bottle 10 ) , bowmore , edradour

This is a superb malt which, in my opinion, is timeless.

It is a beautiful singe malt whisky which is a pleasure to drink and appreciate. There are other lovely single malt whisks from other suppliers. For me, I have enjoyed the delicacy of the Park Dragon Legend along with other malts. This whisky is something special to me while I still enjoy other single versions.

    Lack of complexity.

Sorry to say, but disappointing. (I’ve tasted more complex blended Whiskys) I should have paid an extra £20 for something exciting on the taste buds. The finish is short and tasteless.
