Give this one some time

This second release really benefits from letting it sit for a few days after opening. Initially, I got mostly cinnamon over a faint amount of the regular HP heather signature. Adding water just toned it all down. Now after 5 days, the nose and flavors are much more interesting. Lots of fruity sherry, some barrel char and a bit of that HP heather. A good splash of water now opens it up very nicely. Given a little time, this has developed into a very worthy expression of Highland Park.

A superb buy from a superb distillery.

Bought this for my father - just as a wee gift. He says it is sublime - and one to be savoured. I would say it is worth every penny given his enjoyment of it.

Excellent cask strength

I think it's an excellent whisky. I have always enjoyed cask strengths. The ordering process was very simple and straightforward as well.

Delicious

Smooth, fruity, a very slight touch of saltiness and a nice touch of smoke. Will defo get another bottle.
