Indie bottler Limited presents an immensely impressive 1989 vintage single malt from Highland Park here. Matured in a single bourbon hogshead for a generous 33 years, 166 bottles were released in 2023.
Brown sugar, toffee and salted pretzels with fruity notes and vanilla pods.
Initially peppery on the tongue, but the fruit then comes through. Tropical fruits, heather honey, and a gentle wave of light peat smoke. Rich and oily mouthfeel.
Medium-long with cinnamon and nutmeg spice, which slowly fade away. Citrus then comes to the fore for a satisfying conclusion.
