A 1 litre bottling of single malt Scotch whisky from the Highland Park distillery, which was distilled in 2001 and bottled in 2012. With a good portion of the whisky having been matured in American oak casks, this is a smoky though sweet dram, pairing classic notes of peat and vanilla. This was originally released for Travel Retail.

I drink Islay. I tried this thinking it would be a nice combination of what I like and what I know others like (the sweet highland style). It is drinkable, but probably won't appeal to either camp. I find myself drinking a larger dram and consuming it more quickly. I've been happier as the bottom of the bottle gets closer, but not in a good way.
