Description
For the Malts of Scotland range, this single malt Scotch whisky was bottled in 2017 at 58.9% ABV, with an outturn of 145 bottles. Distillation occurred in 1995 at Highland Park, in the midst of the 'The Battle of Britpop', and the maturation took place in a bourbon hogshead cask.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Fresh and clean, granary toast and soft oak open up over a light grassiness and a herbal edge.
Palate
Honey'd malt and oatcakes lead, with vanilla, red apples, cinnamon and toasted almonds.
Finish
Wood shavings and a touch of medicinal peat.
