An independently bottled Highland Park single malt from Duncan Taylor’s Octave collection. Distilled in 2007 and aged for 18 years, the whisky was finished in a small oloroso octave cask, increasing the interaction between whisky and wood during the final stage of maturation. Bottled at a cask strength of 53.9% ABV, this is a concentrated take on Highland Park’s combination of fruit, spice, honey, and gentle Orcadian peat.

Nose
Heather honey, dried orange, raisins, toasted almonds, aromatic peat, and oak spice.
Palate
Dark fruit, orange oil, malt loaf, honey, cinnamon, and soft heathery smoke.
Finish
Dried fruit, black pepper, polished oak, and lingering peat.
