Cracking single malt from Highland Park, independently bottled up by Adelphi for its Fascadale series. Matured for 14 years in Oloroso sherry casks, it boasts a splendid balance of juicy fruit and coastal character. Yep, those folks at Adelphi sure know a good single malt when they find one.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Fresh stone fruits, creamy barley, and sweet syrup. Gently floral, with buttery oak in tow.
Palate
Rich, nutty malt balances poached peach with a dollop of clotted cream, whilst coastal heather and a hint of smoke linger in the background.
Finish
Roasted nuts hang around along with delicate cooked fruit and baking spice, whilst charcoal embers smoulder in the distance.
