The entry level bottling from Scotland's most northerly distillery, Highland Park, aged for 12 years. This is an older design, before the Highland Park range underwent a rebrand in 2017, and another in 2024. A fab find for a retro collection.
These bottles were part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!

So... the legendary Highland Park 12, an 'Emperor's new clothes' bottle that everyone claims to worship. Well its not very good, yes the nose is wonderful, but in the mouth its quite frankly rough and spirity - god knows where this whisky was for 12 years, but it certainly wasnt maturing in decent casks. The price is about right - but you would be better off with a bottle of Teachers.
Delicious! enough said.
This is a whisky that is indelibly delicious. All the marks of a masterful craft embodied in the Highland Park tradition of smoke, heather, honey , bonfire, toffee, brine and " salivatory" sweetness. Bottle it at 46% is my only request.
Tried this for the first time after a friend recommended it. An explosion of flavor . Who cares about the smell if it tastes good going down!!!
This dram boasts a smokey note that does not overpower the sweet dried fruit that is prominent in the background. Hints of Christmas cake, honey, green apples and sherry are definite notes on the palate. It is non chill filtered and no caramel added which makes this single malt worth every cent.
