10 year old single malt Scotch whisky from the Highland Park distillery on Orkney, presented in the heavily-Viking-inspired livery that was launched in 2017. This expression is normally found on mainland Europe, but it seems that some bottles have landed on our shores (presumably on some sort of longboat, considering all the Viking imagery connected to it).
Subtle Sherry influence, but balanced by heather-y smoke.
Ginger and waxy orange peel. Earthy peat with a another hint of Sherry sweetness buried underneath.
Sea salt and heather once again. A few herbaceous hints of coriander leaf and crushed black pepper.

HP12 minus the viscosity, lighter, less sherry, less of everything; Very young, but not harsh. Good dustiness: Now put a dash of Talisker in it and it comes to life! Mnhm, yes, a bit if body now. Evening's saved.
First off the bottle: wow. The eye wants sonething aswell sometimes. And this one catches my attention. Stunning bottle. Short cork, broad cap so easy pnt the handle... Now the nose; honey! Intense honey, malt, a tad floral, wood and gentle on the smoke. Taste, flat sweet, quick fade away, not so smokey.. Sweet blossom.. Not a less balssy 12 yr. But a sweet mellow 10jr.
