High West
A transatlantic blended whiskey from the people at High West in Utah. Following a trip to the peated Scotch whisky heartland of Islay, David Perkins sought to combine peated single malt with sweet bourbon as well as rye whiskey to create something unique. This is a 70cl bottling.
The skill it’s taken to blend this is very impressive. With every sip you can find something different. Bit of smoke one minute and then sweet the next, never tried anything like it. Got a bottle of this for Christmas and will definitely be buying another one once it’s ran out.
An extremely well balanced easy drinking whiskey. Drink it neat by a campfire for the authentic 'if the name is anything to go by'. Love it and has opened up the High West brand to me.
By far one of my favourite ryes (blends?) in this price range (full stop, in fact). Delicious.
One of the best whiskey's i've had to date. So much flavour with perfect amount of smoke. Only problem is its impossible to find
I really enjoyed this. Really easy to drink, my go to (when I can get it!)
