Made with a combination of whisky matured in first-fill bourbon and new American oak casks, the first expression from High Coast's peated Silent Mills Collection – #1 Marieberg let's the smoke shine. The Silent Mills Collection is a nod to the once bustling sawmill scene that lined the banks of the Ångermanälven river, and where High Coast now uses the icy waters for cooling during its distillation processes. A robust dram at 51% and with a phenol content of 44 PPM, this is a superb sipper for those who like things smoky.

Nose
Plenty of sweet, earthy smoke and oaky vanilla. With a touch of buttery apple pastries.
Palate
Rich, sweet smoke, with warming ginger and peppery spice, toasted vanilla marshmallows and fruit compote.
Finish
Earthy peat lingers, with warming oak and orchard fruits lingering.
