Hibiki Blender's Choice

First released in Japan in 2018 at a time when Hibiki 17 Year Old was starting to be phased out, Hibiki Blender's Choice has been crafted from malt and grain whiskies spanning a range of ages from Suntory's Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita distilleries. A more premium, and somewhat harder to find release than Hibiki's standard flagship Japanese Harmony, Blender's Choice also features whiskies matured in wine casks.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Crème brûlée with red apple skin, sandalwood and rich dates developing.

Palate Sultana, light gingerbread and chewy toffees, with hints of Black Forest gâteau and balsamic.

Finish Savoury oak and subtle praline.

Reviews for Hibiki Blender's Choice
Hibiki Blenders Choice. No box?
I bought a bottle of the Hibiki Blenders Choice and was shocked and saddened to find that it arrived by itself with no nice branded box or anything just wrapped in protective bubble wrap. For £195 I certainly wanted a box!!!

Beautiful, but not worth the extra IMO
I've got a bottle of this, the Master Select and a 17yo and we tried them all, side by side. Tasting is always going to be subjective, but both my wife and I prefer the cheaper MS to either of the others. Marginal it may be, but for the extra money, the MS wins. Still a lovely drop though, and a great bottle.
