An exquisite 12 year old blended Japanese whisky. Hibiki includes malt whisky from Yamazaki and Hakushu, as well as grain whisky from Chita. The whisky is partly matured in plum liqueur barrels. Sadly, following the massive surge in popularity of Japanese whisky in the 2010s, this expression was discontinued by Suntory in 2015. Bottles have now become rare and collectible.

Juicy marmalade with real chunks of orange, cooked apples dusted with cinnamon, thick honey and plum wine.
Crushed almonds, stewed fruits, clove-studded oranges. Sherried malt and a subtle core of oak.
Bright and flavoursome with crisp apple and citrus.

For a 12yr blend it is superb. Yamazaki 12yr is better because it has a full complex body. When you try this compare it to other blends not single malts. But the fact is it's still better than most 12yr single malt Scotland whiskeys
Good, a litle thin nose but the plum saves it all. Love the fresh fruity tastes of the Japanese whiskies. This one is the best blens I ever tasted.

Fantastic! A bit thin nose, but I like that in this blend. The plum save it all. Love the frutiness and the cherry, plum of the Japanese whiskies. Its a blend, not a single malt.
