Here we have the second batch of rye from the Helsinki Distilling Company to be bottled up by That Boutique-y Whisky Company! This time it's a six year old expression, made with 70% malted rye and 30% malted barley, and given a maturation in a new, charred American oak cask. Once again, we see the distillery in Helsinki on the label, harking back to the days when it wasn't actually a distillery, and was a car wash instead.
Batch 2 is a release of 363 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Linseed oil, peppercorn, a hint of freshly ground coffee.
Pine, apricot, liquorice, honey, and just a smidge of smoke.
Caramelised nuts and another crackle of pepper.
