    Heaven's Door Tennessee Bourbon

The Heaven's Door range of whiskey was created by Bob Dylan (yes, actual Bob Dylan, the legendary songwriter) and Marc Bushala (co-founder of Angel's Envy Bourbon).

This is the Tennessee Straight Bourbon, made from a mash bill of 70% corn, 22% rye, and 8% malted barley. Crafted with a sour mash distillation process and aged for a minimum of five years in new American oak barrels, it skips chill filtration for a fuller mouthfeel. Bottled at 42% ABV, its provenance is a point of speculation—rumours suggest George Dickel might be behind it, though the brand remains coy.

The bottle features a design from Dylan's ironwork and the name is of course a reference to his song 'Knockin' on Heaven's Door'.

The bourbon was decorated with Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and Double Gold in New York, and also scored an impressive 96 points from the Ultimate Spirits Challenge.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

A melody of caramel and vanilla intertwines with freshly toasted oak, underscored by charred wood and nutty grains. Hints of dried fruit too.

    Palate

Caramel sweetness is accompanied by juicy cherry and a touch of spiced molasses. A dusting of cinnamon and clove adds warmth, balancing the toasty oak.

    Finish

A smooth glide into vanilla-laden decadence, rounded by peanut brittle, nutmeg, and a hint of roasted coffee beans.

    Excellent bourbon

TBH I bought this as I'm a big Dylan fan and to celebrate his 'Rough and Rowdy' album. My brother was over for the music and a few drinks. Was really pleasantly surprised at the quality of this bourbon - thought the price may have been related to the celebrity connection. It's not...well worth the money. Neat or mixed it's superb. We finished the bottle in an evening.

    Very nice but pricey

I think master of malt tasting notes are the best representation of the Whisky. I like this alot but not for the price, four roses small batch is as good if not better and for much less.
