Fragrant Drops continues its run of characterful single cask releases with this cracking 16-year-old Kentucky corn whiskey from Heaven Hill. Distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2025, it spent its entire life resting in a single bourbon cask before being drawn at a punchy 59.9% ABV. Only 231 bottles exist.
Brown sugar and toasted pecans, followed by crème brûlée, cinnamon bark, caramelised banana, and a flicker of tobacco leaf.
Treacle toffee, baked apple, clove, and charred oak staves roll in first, joined by peanut brittle, singed marshmallow, and a seam of warming rye spice.
Lingering oak char, caramel corn, nutmeg, and a final echo of sweet citrus.
