Centennial 20 Year Old Bottling Note

Blended from 100 different casks to celebrate the 100th birthday of the late Janet Sheed Roberts, granddaughter of William Grant.

Mrs Roberts was herself a director of William Grant and Son and an important figure in the history of Glenfiddich distillery and beyond. When she sadly passed on in 2012 she was the oldest woman in Scotland at 110 years old. This is now a hugely sought after bottling, originally only available to employees.

This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!

Great for a staff freebie but not for the asking price now.
Had i tried this blind and you had told me this was a sub £100 blended malt/blend i would have said fair enough, all very mellow and crowd pleasing with its juicy ripe orchard fruits, soft baking spice and buttery oak. But i guess you are paying for the rarity of the bottle and not the liquid, a Dewars 18 or older Cutty Sark would be a better purchase if you are after something of the "soft and smooth" taste profile.

The "BEST" i ever had...
On my short scotch journey, the best scotch I ever share with my step son in a very beautiful Perry Ga., night. Its worth every penny.
