The inaugural release from Hawk’s Rock Distillery in Sligo, Garavogue 20 Year Old is a complex Irish whiskey crafted by famed whisky maker Helen Mulholland. Initially aged for 14 years in bourbon casks, it’s then finished across French Muscat, French Sauternes, PX sherry, and Barbadian rum casks, creating layers of fruit, sweetness, and spice. Double-distilled and bottled at 47% ABV, it’s harmonious, with each cask influence making its presence felt without overwhelming the spirit.
Vanilla, ripe peach, and spun sugar from Sauternes; floral and raisin notes from Muscat and PX sherry; tropical hints from rum cask.
Sweet vanilla and citrus, buttery ripe apples, light oak spice, and juicy fresh fruits.
Lingering fruit sweetness with gentle spice and oak.
