Beverbach
Here we have a single malt from the Hardenberg Distillery in Lower Saxony in northwest Germany, dubbed Beverbach. It's double distilled from malted wheat and barley and aged in first fill bourbon casks. Then, the whiskey is finished in barrels which previously held brandy for a little fruity kick to the flavour profile. Finally, it's bottled at 43% ABV in this rather handsome vessel.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Strong malt aromas alongside a whisper of smoke, subtle vanilla, dried fruit and honey.
Palate
Oak influence is clear here, with oily nuts, vanilla sponge cake, slightly burnt toast and baking spice.
Finish
Nougat, more dried fruit returns alongside vanilla pod.
