Hankey Bannister

A blended whisky named for Mr Hankey and Mr Bannister who created the brand. That's right, he was called Mr Hankey…

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is quite light, yet rather punchy. There are notes of winter spice and black pepper with a touch of caramel. The palate is quite fresh and crisp with medium-body. There are notes of buttery biscuit and toffee fudge with cereal sweetness and a creamy mouthfeel. The finish is of good length with a fudge sweetness.

Reviews for Hankey Bannister Blended Scotch Whisky
I would hihhly recommend to anyone serious and not so serious drinkers
At first I was impressed with the name, the bottle and the colour. Bottled in Scotland and 43 percent alcohol. I was excited to find it in North Borneo Malaysia. At first taste I was impressed. Lived up to my expectations. Sweet at first and got more complex the longer in my mouth with a delicious after taste. For me,a winner. So good.

Smooth easy air taste for reasonable price
The best blend in its class ever tried. It's stupid to compare scotch, so whoever reads this has its own range of scotchs. Smooth easy air taste for reasonable price. In the outskirts of Kyiv, in the end of the day, started by a stupid Russian shelling.

Nice price for its quality
Bought this in an online shop here in the Philippines. Pretty good for its price Php 949.00 ($17.00) for 1 liter bottle. Very good, sweet, good nose.

Surprise, surprise, surprise
I bought a bottle of this at a wine and spirits store in NY state, having never come across it in PA. I was first attracted by the beautiful color of this elixir so I decided to try it. The nose is light at first but grows to a caramel/vanilla aroma. On the palate the alcohol content is high and you feel the burn but then this gives way to a smooth creaminess that was surprising. The finish is medium with flavors of the nose coming through. Pretty good stuff which just goes to prove you don't have to mortgage the house to enjoy a decent scotch.

Makes a strong looking( and tasting) drink. Buy some!!!
I used to drink this whisky when I lived in Bermuda. The bartender used different blends for different mixers and this mixed with ginger ale made a superb combination.I still sometimes buy it from my local suppliers in Cupar, Fife and I will be buying some this week for a men's week in Lochinver.

Very nice.
Tried in a pub in Yorkshire. 6 quid for doubles of this. Was expecting paint thinner, but was amazed how nice this was. Less than 20 quid a bottle is great value. Buttery toffee as the description above, really rather pleasant.

Third best whiskey in northern New Jersey
This stuff's not bad and definitely a notch above for a whiskey in the Dewar's/JW Red price range. Fudge and butterscotch, so sweet it's almost a bourbon. Good value
