Golden Horse Bushu

Golden Horse Bushu Bottling Note

A blended whisky from the Golden Horse range, owned by Japanese company, Toashuzo. The Golden Horse brand previously had age statements on their labels, though since relaunching in 2016 (following a period where Golden Horse fell off the map, so to speak), they no longer feature age statements.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Subtly perfumed peaty notes, with layers of creamy caramel and sweet porridge.

Palate: Crunchy cereals, honey, those edible flowers you get with fancy meals, hazelnuts.

Finish: Vanilla and sandalwood last on the finish.

A must try
I have been drinking all of the different whiskies here in Japan, this one is a must try for a casual drinker. It reminds me of Japanese white wine or fruity saki. The flavor is light, fruity and flowery, good to drink on a summer day.

Smoooth!
Very smooth and pleasant on the palate. I was brought up on Irish but this is very pleasant.
