Goalong 5 Year Old Bourbon Cask
A single malt from Goalong Distillery, nestled in the mountainous Hunan province of south-central China. This whisky spent five years in bourbon casks, but the region’s wild temperature swings have packed in the flavour of something far older.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Hazelnuts dipped in honey, with a soft echo of oak. Gentle vanilla gives way to a whisper of dried fruits.
Palate
Sweet and spiced, bringing cinnamon and chewy toffee. A hint of soft smoke develops mid-palate.
Finish
Lingering warmth, with sweet spice and toasted wood fading slowly.
