Ruadh Maor 8 Year Old 2011 - Strictly Limited (Càrn Mòr)
A Strictly Limited smoky Glenturret here, bottled by the cracking Càrn Mòr! This 8 year old Ruadh Maor (that's the name used for peated Glenturret single malt) was distilled in 2011 and left to age in a pair of hogshead casks until 2020, when it was bottled at 47.% ABV. 837 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Toasted barley and sugary oatmeal, with a whiff of tinned peaches.
Palate
More honeyed than the palate, with vanilla and toffee pennies. Still packing waves of toasty, vegetal smoke.
Finish
Lingering paprika smokiness and heat.
