This Glenturret single malt was distilled in 2005, and was then left to age in a single first fill sherry hogshead. After 14 years had passed, Gordon & MacPahil independently bottled the Highlander in April 2019 for the Connoisseurs Choice series. The hogshead saw an outturn of 324 bottles at cask strength, 53.3% ABV.
Sherried fruits, plum, toffee apple and orange chocolate.
Apple crumble, cinnamon, nutmeg and juicy red grapes with melted dark chocolate.
Rich praline with a touch of citrus peel.
