    Single Malt

Glenturret 34 Year Old 1977 - Single Cask (Master of Malt)

A grand old Glenturret from our single cask series. It's a refined whisky that has truly improved with age. Lots of depth and character that simply can't be replicated any other way, exactly what you look for in an old whisky. It is of course bottled at cask strength and is non chill-filtered.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Biscuits and almonds with milky fresh hazelnut. Pronounced vanilla and heather honey, St Clement's marmalade and crystallised tropical fruit.

    Palate

Soft, light brown sugar sweetness and very subtly spiced. There's more of those crystallised fruit notes, particularly pineapple, with the sweetness balanced by oaky tannins. The mouthfeel is wonderfully all-encompassing, very chewy indeed.

    Finish

Sweet marmalade that turns dryer before the end with distinct woody notes.

    Overall

A very refined old whisky with great, thick depths to explore.

    Fantastic Highland Malt

A very unusual dram, in a good way. Very fruity, perfect finish. Lots of honey, dried fruits, flowers, raisins. Some might say it's not a very balanced scotch, but I couldn't care less it's simply delicious. My favorite bottle at the moment. (I actually ordered a second one, which I intend to keep closed...not sure how long it will stay that way though)

    Awesome

I just finished a "Scotch Malt Whisky Society" bottle, thinking I will never find another one with equal valour, and now I taste this one.....my god....Magnificient refinement. So much sweetness! An explosion of honey and tropical flowers at the nose, perfectly reproduced in palate with more sweetness, and a not very long but soft and delicious finish. A masterpiece with a quality\price ratio absolutely profitable. Thanks Master of Malt!!
