Glentauchers 9 Year Old 2009 (cask 12601) - Provenance (Douglas Laing)

A Douglas Laing bottling of Glentuahcers single malt, released as part of the Provenance range. This one was distilled in the Speyside region back in APril 2009, then left to mature in a single refill hogshead for 9 years, until May 2018. Just 382 bottles were produced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Earthy at first, with soft oak and dried barley. Soon develops a sweetness of caramelised dates.

Palate

Still enjoyably earthy and spicy with malt and oak.

Finish

Brown sugar and cooked apple.
