An indie bottling of Glentauchers single malt, drawn from a first-fill sherry butt which was laid down in 1991. The cask was cracked open 27 years later in September 2018, then bottled at cask strength for Gordon & MacPhail's Connoisseurs Choice range. A release of 473 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Marmalade of rye toast, milky tea and flaky pain au chocolat.
Palate
Barley sugar, tobacco, chocolate brownies, cinnamon and quince.
Finish
Subtly smoky coffee and rum-soaked sultanas.
