Single Malt
Scotland
Sherry
An independently bottled Glentauchers single malt, matured for 21 years and drawn from a tiny octave cask that previously held Pedro Ximénez sherry. This was bottled by Chorlton Whisky, and they have featured a rather charming illustration of the moon on the label. The moon seems quite world-weary. This makes sense, really. We keep sending people to the moon so they can steal chunks of its body and stick flags in its face, so it probably isn't too happy with us...
Anyway, only 73 bottles of this whisky were produced.
Sponge cake topped with chocolate frosting, strawberry jam, roast chestnuts.
Sultanas and raisins dusted with nutmeg. Liquorice root, caramel and some bright citrus freshness.
A balanced finish of brown sugar and cinnamon.
