A Highland Laird bottling of Glentauchers single malt, drawn from a bourbon hogshead that was filled in 1996 and was home to the whisky for 20 years. 143 cask strength bottles were produced.
Pear, peach and cigar box notes rush forward. Hints of caramel and apple linger in the background.
Toasted soda bread, salted butter and Frosties. A touch of heather honey.
Soft orchard fruit sweetness sticks around for ages on the finish.
