An impressive 24 year old Campbeltown whisky, this Glen Scotia is from Murray McDavid's Benchmark range. It was matured in a bourbon barrel, a Sherry hogshead and finally a Vosne-Romanée red wine barrique. The final outurn was then 331 bottles at a bottling strength of 46% abv.
Juicy, fragrant plums, honeyed fried fruits, polished furniture and praline.
Plum sauce, chocolate, bitter caramel, red apple skin and brown sugar.
Aromatic plum, cooked apple, cedar and peach.
