Kiwi & Chilli 25 Year Old 1996 - Wemyss Malts (Glenrothes)
Independently bottled single malt from Glenrothes, matured for 25 years in a single refill hogshead cask after being distilled in 1996. This is yet another excellent release from Wemyss Malts, and it has been bestowed the name Kiwi & Chilli as a hint towards its flavour profile. Just 282 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Red berries, eucalyptus, roasted oak staves, and a flutter of floral barley.
Palate
Orchard fruit with a citrusy tang, red chilli flake, and layers of caramel.
Finish
A very long finish, with vanilla and peppercorn lasting.
