Distilled at Glenrothes in 2013, this single malt was filled into a single bourbon cask to mature. Nine years later, the cask was opened, yielding a total of 174 bottles at a burly 62.7% ABV. Independently released by House of MacDuff for The Golden Cask collection.
Softly spiced tea, green apple, and a touch of herbaceous malt, with vanilla cream and buttery toasted oak in tow.
More orchard fruits lead to sweet layers of cooked stone fruits and vanilla sponge cake.
Vegetal barley and crisp apple linger, joined by hints of marzipan and a tickle of clove.
