Glenrothes 9 Year Old 2013 (cask 16451) - Provenance (Douglas Laing)
Distilled at Glenrothes in January 2013, this single malt spent the next nine years maturing in a single refill puncheon. The cask was opened by Douglas Laing in Septembeer 2022, releasing 206 bottles for its Provenance collection, without added colour or chill filtration.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Toffee ice cream, vanilla custard, crisp apples, and creamy barley.
Palate
Layers of orchard fruit, crushed nuts, toasted almonds, Horlicks, and banana bread.
Finish
Fruit loaf lingers, with bread and butter pudding and stewed apricot.
