Back in the olden days of the 1980s, 1988 to be precise, this single malt was distilled at Glenrothes and allowed to rest in a single refill American hogshead. It remained in this cask for 32 years, mellowing and maturing until finally, the team at Gordon & MacPhail decided it was ready for bottling in February 2021. A total of 182 bottles were released at cask strength as part of the Connoisseurs Choice collection.
