Glenrothes 28 Year Old 1989 - Single Cask (Master of Malt)
Well-aged Glenrothes whisky is a delciious thing - so we're rather thrilled to show off our very own bottling of 28 year old Glenrothes single malt! This expression was distilled in 1989 and matured in a bourbon hogshead until 2018 when we bottled it up for the Single Cask Series. As ever, there was not chill-filtration or additional colours added.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
A big waft of vanilla pod and milk chocolate, followed by hints of cherry, black pepper, Turkish delight and clotted cream.
Palate
Honey on toast, more clotted cream, milky coffee, brandy snaps, spicy malt, old leather.
Finish
Maple syrup, Curaçao, bourbon biscuits, a very light leafy touch.
