Glenrothes 23 Year Old 1993 - Single Cask (Master of Malt)

Another one of our wonderful Single Cask Series independent bottlings - this time featuring whisky from Speyside's excellent Glenrothes distillery! It was distilled in July 1993 and matured in a refill Sherry butt for 23 years, until January 2017. We bottled it at cask strength, without any chill-filtration or additional colours, just like what we do for all of our Single Cask Series bottlings.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Waxy orange peels and barley sugar, leading into honey'd cereals. Polished oak and a slight touch of tomato stem earthiness.

    Palate

White pepper, walnut loaf, maple syrup. Quite oily. Once again, there's an intriguing vegetal elements developing from the tomato stem notes.

    Finish

Red chilli, creamy caramel, potpourri and buttered corn sweetness.
