Glenrothes 24 Year Old 1992 (cask 10) Ridge Vineyards Wine Cask Finish - The Wine Merchant's Collection
A 1992 vintage Glenrothes from The Wine Merchant's Collection range (featuring whiskies finished in casks from top producers the world over). This edition was finished in a cask that previously held Californian Zinfandel wine from Ridge Vineyards. 240 bottles were drawn from cask #10.
This bottle was part of a private collection and may show signs of wear if of a certain vintage - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
A classically honey'd Speysider, with touches of sloe and poached pear developing.
Palate
Chocolate-coated strawberries, fresh blueberries, home honey and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Finish
A prickle of white oak spice appears amongst the red fruit notes on the finish.
