Description
Distilled at Glenrothes in 2007, this single malt spent the next 19 years maturing in a single rejuvenated hogshead. Thompson Bros. cracked into the cask in 2026, independently releasing a total of 250 bottles, layered with notes of shortbread, white grapes, and juicy pears.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
Spicy grapes, crystallised ginger, standing near the candyfloss machine, white pepper and meadow flowers, golden apples, shortbread, buttery vanilla.
Palate
Lots of shortbread on the palate, some honey with marzipan. White grapes and baking spices continue, along with fresh hay, butterscotch and yellow fruits.
Finish
Good length with pears, apricots and grapes on the finish. A touch of lightly oaked Chardonnay about this one.
