Description
Distilled in February 2005, this single malt from Glenrothes spent the next 18 years maturing in a single sherry butt. The cask was opened by Douglas Laing in 2023, releasing a total of 264 cask-strength bottles for The Midnight Series.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Dark brown sugar, juicy sultanas, sherried fruits and cakey spice.
Palate
Robust, juicy barley, plump raisins and sultanas alongside dark chocolate fudge and a touch of treacle.
Finish
Toffee, cocoa, mocha, stewed fruit.
