Glenmorangie 16 Year Old The Tribute
A lightly peated release from Glenmorangie, this expression explores the distillery’s past, paying tribute to the historic use of a peat fired kiln. Aged in bourbon casks and married with Glenmorangie’s signature spirit, to achieve a clever balance of subtle peat smoke with their characteristic zest, cream and vanilla. This bottling was originally released for the Travel Retail market.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Floral, spring meadows and freshly mowed grass, gentle wafts of peat and charred oak, fruity citrus, crème caramel.
Palate
Easygoing vanilla and creamy lemon posset, salted almonds and tobacco. Subtle peat smoke murmurs throughout, carried by sweet, light and zesty fruit.
Finish
Sweet, crumbly fudge and lemon drizzle balance suggestions of peat smoke and tangy oak.
