Oloroso sherry cask-finished single malt from Glenmorangie. The word 'Lasanta' derives from the Gaelic for warmth and passion.

First off, I absolutely love the Quinta Ruben. The Lasanta is the only other Glenmorangie expression that I currently own. A coworker picked it up for me at a duty free in the States. The Glendronach 12 is my benchmark for Sherried whisky (and Aberlour 12, but at a lesser extent). I was a little disappointed with the Lasanta. I cannot get over this very odd 'cardboard' scent that I get on the nose (it carries onto the palate a little as well). Very strange.

Whilst I understand that some peat-freaks can go overboard I myself am not one of them. As much as I like a glass of Bowmore Darkest this ranks a pretty close second. The only minor downside is that I find that the finish is a little too dry and a little abrupt. However as another reviewer as already stated this can be occasionaly bought from supermarkets for under 30 quid making it a good value purchase.
Amazing!
Upon sampling the Lasanta, I have found that this is light on the taste bud, with minimal bite. The richness is sustained by the fullness of the secondary flavors of the maturity of the barrels. I am a huge fan!
