Glenlossie 8 Year Old 2010 (cask 8643) - Lady of the Glen (Hannah Whisky Merchants)
Distilled in October 2010 at Glenlossie, this Speyside single malt was then left to mature in a bourbon hogshead. Before it was bottled, it also saw a finish in a first fill Tawny Port cask from a Portuguese bodega, giving it a wonderfully rich colour as well as a fruity and caramel-filled flavour profile. It was independently bottled at cask strength on 11 April 2019 at the age of eight years by Hannah Whisky Merchants, for the Lady of the Glen series at 54.6% ABV.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Honeyed nuts, caramelised apples and fresh pears, with fruit and nut milk chocolate.
Palate
Light notes of honeycomb, cigar box, toffee and red fruits, with candied citrus, chewy barley and sugared nuts.
Finish
A hint of baking spice and smooth caramel linger on the finish.
