It's the third batch of single malt from the Glenlossie distillery, independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company! This time, it's a 17 year old single malt boasting oodles of a cake-y elements. It's so cake-y, as a horse on a particular advert for grain-based breakfast bars might say.
Batch 3 is a release of 206 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Victoria sponge (with jam and cream, of course), joined by a floral hint of lemongrass.
Palate
Bounty bars, more sweet sponge cake, a slowly building core of spicy malt.
Finish
Jamaican Ginger Cake and a hint of black liquorice.
