This single malt from Glenlossie joins the Benchmark collection from independent bottler Murray McDavid. Distilled in 2008, the whisky spent 14 years maturing, initially in bourbon hogsheads, followed by almost four years finishing in French oak barriques that previously held sweet Sauternes wine from Bordeaux.
Vibrant layers of mango and pineapple, with drizzles of honey and floral citrus blossom.
Zesty, oily notes of citrus peels, more tropical notes with banana and melon, and a dusting of cinnamon.
Warming baking spices linger, with mellow, buttery oak and caramel.
