Nose This one is all about fresh barley, malt, ripe apples and green vegetables. Mashed potatoes, faint hints of white truffles, vanilla-flavoured yoghurt, bread crumb. Also some ginger tonic. Playful and lively, with a pretty oakiness starting to shine through after a while.
Palate The green, fruity tastes continue along with quite big tannins, as well as the spices and white pepper.
Finish A long finish over which baked fruit slowly takes precedence over the fresher notes on the palate.
Overall An entertaining whisky with an interesting development for what is a relatively young dram.
