    Follow-up

After having spent the evening with this Scotch, I found it to be quite delicate in its flavoring. Initially I found the alcohol level too strong for my palate (47.6%), but as the ice melted, I was able to experience its flavoring more completely. A lot of high notes in this, not as many deep tones as I expected given its age in the barrel. A very clean finish with, as mentioned, lots of citrus and vanilla. -ATS

    Just opened

My wife gave me this bottle for my 40th birthday. (I was born in 1973, hence the special significance of this bottle). Just opened it. The air in the bottle immediately fogged, and a wonderful fine scotch aroma wafted out. I need a little more time with this one, so I'll post a follow-up review when I've figured it out. - ATS
