A wonderful 30 year old single cask Glenlivet. This was distilled on the 5th November 1981 before a maturation in hogshead 9458. It was eventually bottled on the 28th February 2012. A release of 194 numbered bottles from Signatory.
Almond oil and salty butter. Quite maritime in fact. Notes of Nutella, truffle oil and malt.
Medium-bodied with notes of eucalyptus, camomile, apple and pine resin. A good dollop of barley too.
Vanilla fudge and smoked almonds.
