This is an old edition of the Glenlivet 12 Year Old single malt, dating back to the 1990s. It certainly has a rather old-school look about it, compared to more recent bottlings.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose A full, rich nose with cream vanilla, warm pastry, toffee, fudge and a hint of aniseed. Toasty cereals and oak develop.

Palate Thick and warm on the tongue with aniseed, dried peels and fudge. Very creamy, stewed apples develop.

Finish Long and spiced finish star anise and digestive biscuits on the tail.
