Description
Glengoyne's Teapot Dram is on its seventh batch! This expression harks back to the days of yore, when workers at the distillery would receive three drams of whisky a day, which would be served from a copper teapot. The whisky wouldn't be taken from an old cask, which if why this expression is a deliberately young and bold whisky that was matured in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks. 3,993 bottles were produced for this batch.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Big helpings of chocolate digestive biscuit and rum-soaked raisins, with a kick of nutmeg hiding in there too.
Palate
Zingy citrus peels, hefty cinnamon and ginger, crunchy brown sugar.
Finish
Continued orange and lemon, plus some toasted teacake warmth.
