Released for the Travel Retail market, the Glengoyne Balbaína once again shows off the distillery's penchant for sherry-cask-matured deliciousness. With a hearty core of first-fill European-oak sherry cask aged whisky, this expression boasts plenty of dried fruit and warming spice.
Nose: Chocolate orange, malty biscuits, a hint of red wine sweetness.
Palate: Earthy clove and cinnamon, chewy dates, a touch of cantaloupe.
Finish: Brown sugar, soft oak, a touch of citrus peel.
